The Eventor story
Tired of searching for names on paper, long queues at the entrance and last-minute changes? So were we.
Eventor started in Zürich with a very practical problem: our own events had guest lists on clipboards, three people updating three different spreadsheets, and a queue at the door. As organizers with more than 20 years of software experience between us, we knew there had to be a better way.
So we built the tool we wanted to use ourselves: drop your Excel file in, hand the app to the door team, and let every device stay in sync. The first check-in app launched in November 2018 and has since welcomed more than 1.8 million guests at 18,000+ events, from a 30-person workshop to festivals with thousands of visitors.

Milestones
2016
ClickOn Guest List, the predecessor app, is used for the first store openings and VIP events in Switzerland.
2018
Eventor.app launches with the web dashboard, iOS and Android check-in apps and QR codes.
2019
Team roles, multi-currency pricing and events in more than 60 countries within the first year.
2020–2025
💀 COVID-19 hits, and it hits us for five years. Events stop worldwide, the check-in counter barely moves, and the company takes the financial blow with it. We keep the servers running, refund what we can, and wait for the doors to open again. Somewhere in the middle, in 2022, the millionth guest is checked in.
2026
New apps for iOS 15+ and Android 7+, refreshed dashboard, and this new website.
