Scan it at the door and the guest is checked in within a second. The question we get most often is: \u003Cstrong>how do I get that QR code to each guest?\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Eventor does not send bulk e-mail itself. Instead it gives you a personal QR code link for every guest, and you send those links with the e-mail tool you already use. This guide uses \u003Cstrong>Mailchimp\u003C\u002Fstrong>, because it is the tool most of our customers already have, and because merge tags make personal QR codes trivial. Opening the link shows the QR code; e-mail tools can embed it as an image.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>The Eventor iOS and Android apps scan these codes with the built-in camera scanner. There is nothing to configure on the app side.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"step-1-export-the-qr-code-data-from-eventor\">Step 1: Export the QR code data from Eventor\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Col class=\"steps\">\n\u003Cli>Open your event at \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fevents.eventor.app\">events.eventor.app\u003C\u002Fa> and press \u003Cstrong>Export\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Expand \u003Cstrong>Advanced options\u003C\u002Fstrong> and tick \u003Cstrong>Export QR Code data\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Choose \u003Cstrong>CSV\u003C\u002Fstrong> as the format (Mailchimp imports CSV most reliably) and download the file.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Fol>\n\u003Cp>Open the file. Delete guests without an e-mail address, or they will fail the import.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"step-2-add-a-qr-code-field-to-your-mailchimp-audience\">Step 2: Add a QR code field to your Mailchimp audience\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Mailchimp stores per-contact data in \u003Cstrong>audience fields\u003C\u002Fstrong>, and each field has a \u003Cstrong>merge tag\u003C\u002Fstrong> you can drop into an e-mail.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Col class=\"steps\">\n\u003Cli>In Mailchimp go to \u003Cstrong>Audience → All contacts\u003C\u002Fstrong>, open \u003Cstrong>Settings\u003C\u002Fstrong> and choose \u003Cstrong>Audience fields and *|MERGE|* tags\u003C\u002Fstrong>.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Press \u003Cstrong>Add a field\u003C\u002Fstrong>, pick the type \u003Cstrong>Text\u003C\u002Fstrong>, name it \u003Cem>QR code\u003C\u002Fem> and set the merge tag to \u003Ccode>QRCODE\u003C\u002Fcode>.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Save. The guest is checked in. Then tap the guest and reset the check-in so the real count stays correct.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Fol>\n\u003Ch2 id=\"step-6-send-and-handle-late-changes\">Step 6: Send, and handle late changes\u003C\u002Fh2>\n\u003Cp>Send the campaign. For guests added after the send:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>Import the newcomers into Eventor, export the QR data again (tick \u003Cem>Export QR Code data\u003C\u002Fem>), and import only the new rows into Mailchimp.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003Cli>Send the same campaign again to a \u003Cstrong>segment\u003C\u002Fstrong> that contains only the new contacts, or resend to \u003Cem>non-openers\u003C\u002Fem> after 48 hours.\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\u003Cp>Because the code contains only the guest ID, a guest who was re-imported into Eventor gets a \u003Cstrong>new\u003C\u002Fstrong> ID and therefore a new code.
